Yay! I mean YAAAAAAAYYY!!!!!
I just learned that Letters From Iwo Jima will be released over here on February 22. That’s another 77 days, but I’m already looking forward to it so much. I guess it’ll be a great feeling to walk into the local movie theatre and see the face of one of my all time favourite Johnny’s stars 4m tall on the big screen, although I’m already dreading the German voice they’ll give him.
And then 3 days later it’s Oscar Night® with Letters From Iwo Jima hopefully taking home a golden statue or two, preferably one for Ninomiya Kazunari as best supporting actor. If he gets nominated at all. But if he does get nominated I wonder if he’ll be attending the event. I hope there won’t be any Arashi concerts at the end of February. And if he’s there and if he wins, will he give his acceptance speech in English or in Japanese? Either way, I’ll be breaking down in front of the TV, crying my heart out, I promise.
