OMG, it’s almost Christmas, and people are going crazy, dropping Christmas trees from the roofs of their cars while going at 50 miles per hour and everything. Which of course I only know because my brother and his wife and kids decided to spend the holidays in Egypt, leaving me the car so I can go to their place twice every day to feed three cats and four ferrets. They all have names, which I don’t remember, and I can’t even remember the names I gave them the last time I took care of them, so today I’ve decided that the three cats are Kitty Jr. (oh the smartness of me!) and the four ferrets are Ya-Ya-yah, and I sing Te wo Tsunaide Yukou to them while I feed them and scrape the feces from the bottom of their cage. Tomorrow I’ll teach’em to join their hands for the chorus.
OMG, it’s almost Christmas, and the surest sign of that is German TV showing Little Lord Fauntleroy like they do every year on the last Friday before Christmas Eve. I’ll watch it again tonight for the 734th time, because I love little boys with long blond hair that make me cry, and also because it’s one of only two films that have both Obi-wan Kenobi (Alec Guiness) and Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) in it, the other one being Smiley’s People, but that one doesn’t make me cry, so…
Later tonight the same channel Little Lord Fauntleroy is on will show The Last Days of Sodom and Gomorrah. I guess I’ll watch that one too. After all the crying I’ll be doing during Little Lord Fauntleroy I’ll need something to cheer me up.
