If I ever had a favourite NEWS member then it was Moriuchi Takahiro [森内 貴寛], and I hated the fact that he left the group in December 2003 in order to concentrate on his education (yeah right). I think he had a great voice, and just in case you don’t know who I’m talking about, here he is with Yabu and his little brother Hiroki, performing a medley on Shonen Club 2003.05.11.
Okay, so he left Johnny’s at the end of 2003, and I didn’t expect to ever hear from him again. I was wrong.
Moriuchi Takahiro is now in a band called ONE OK ROCK [ワンオクロック], where he goes by the name of Taka, and I think they’re awesome. Here’s one of their songs, their first single Naihin shinsho
God, I still love that voice. Great music too, and so far away from Johnny’s plastic pop.
