Pimp My Morimoto

by Kamichan | October 8, 2007

I know there’s one person out there who will probably object to me calling him “my Morimoto”, but don’t worry, you can keep him. It’s just a pun I used for the headline.

So Shokura. I just watched it, and what can I say, I loved every single minute of it. Like seriously. And I had a hard time deciding which parts I’d post to my blog, because I would have loved to post all of it. But I’m not gonna do that. I ended up posting my two favourite performances. First is the KinKi Kids medley. Some serious Morimoto pimping there, for both of them, Ryutaro and Shintaro. God, Shintaro is so cute. And so short. But so cute. And he’s singing center stage on Shonen Club now. That’s so awesome. Sure, he may not be the best singer or dancer (yet), but keep in mind that this kid is only friggin’ 10 years old. How much of a singer and dancer was Takki when he was 10? See? Give Shintaro another couple of years and I swear he’ll be so damn big.

And Ryutaro too. He’s a hell of a dancer, and I love his voice too. I know there’s a lot of people out there who think he’s too young to be in Hey! Say! JUMP. And that is complete nonsense. I think he loves what he’s doing, Johnny loves what he’s doing, and I love what he’s doing too. That’s more than enough reasons for him to be in HSJ, and if you think he’s too young you probably think that Shirley Temple and Mickey Rooney were too young too. And if you don’t know who Shirley Temple and Mickey Rooney are, then maybe it’s you who’s too young.

Oh, and Inoo. I’m so glad he’s back. Not that he’d been away, but Kitty and YOUtachi! weren’t exactly the best things that ever happened to him. He just didn’t get enough attention, and I honestly hope that this will change now that he’s in Hey! Say! JUMP.

As I said, there was a lot of other great stuff in this Shokura. Goto Hiromi surprised me a lot when he suddenly put down his violin and started to sing. Seriously, this kid deserves some more attention too. Just like his violin AND his voice. Uekusa Yuta was in the Jr. ni Q segment, and that was actually the first time I ever saw him in moving pictures. I had only known him from magazine shots before, and I never was too excited about him. Well, I’m still not exactly excited about him, but he did score a few points with me today. Let’s see how he does in Kinpachi Sensei.

Ya-Ya-yah performed Baby Babe again. That was nice, but the performance was almost identical to the one last month. I’d rather see them perform that song in a Live Stage on their own program, but I’m not sure that this will ever happen.

Finally a new song called Days. And that was really beautiful. I like it so much better that most of the other ending songs they had on Shokura in the last couple of months.

And in other news, Mediafire seems to hate me just as much as I hate Mediafire. It seems that part 1 of the 2007.09.11 Hyakushiki episode I uploaded yesterday can’t be downloaded because they messed up the link to the server. I deleted the file and uploaded it again today, and guess what? Same problem. But I’m working on it.
