Can you believe I dreamed of friggin’ calendars last night? No kidding. I’m such a dedicated fan. If you want to be like me you can order your 2008-2009 Johnny’s calendars via the links in the left sidebar menu on top of the page. Yoroshiku.
In other news, according to Oricon, Hey!Say!JUMP finish the first week of their debut on #1 in the charts. In doing so they became the 13th artist to reach the #1 spot with a debut single, and the first since KAT-TUN 1 year and 8 months ago. Other artistes who accomplished that achievement include NEWS, 嵐 [Arashi], KinKi Kids, 男闘呼組 [Otokogumi], 少年隊 [Shonentai] and 光Genji [Hikaru Genji]. With that, 岡本圭人 [Okamoto Keito] and 岡本健一 [Okamoto Ken’ichi] became the first parent & child couple ever to both reach #1 with a debut single.
Oricon quotes Yabu and Yuto on their achievement:
【薮宏太】
Hey!Say!JUMPのデビューシングル「Ultra Music Power」がオリコン初登場1位を頂きました。
これは、この曲を聴いて下さった、ファンの皆さんのお陰です!! 更に、Hey!Say!7とHey!Say!BEST、力を合わせてがんばっていきますので、Hey!Say!JUMPを宜しくお願いします。本当に有難うございました!!
[Yabu Kota]
Hey!Say!JUMP’s debut single Ultra Music Power starts on No.1 in the Oricon charts. This is owing to all the fans who listened to the song. Furthermore, as Hey!Say!7 and Hey!Say!BEST will keep joining their forces, please keep supporting Hey!Say!JUMP. Thank you very much indeed!!
【中島裕翔】
オリコン1位獲得できて、すごく嬉しいです。
でもこの1位はファンの皆さんのお陰で獲得できたので、すごく感謝しています。これからもHey!Say!JUMPがんばります。
[Nakajima Yuto]
Being No.1 in the Oricon charts makes me incredibly happy. But since we owe this No.1 position to the support of all the fans I’m also very grateful. Hey!Say!JUMP will keep on doing their best.
Yes, boys. Uncle Kamichan is very happy and grateful too.
But before I get all sentimental, I’ll end this post with some comic relief. Here’s a short clip from last Sunday’s Heisei Families. Yoroshiku!
