You know, I just re-read yesterday’s post about Keito and I realized I’m pretty awesome. I actually managed to bash Keito into the ground and still convey my deepest love for him. I hope I wasn’t too harsh on him, but I guess not. Anyhow, the interesting thing is, he isn’t always like that, as can be seen in the video I uploaded today. This is all the screen time Hey!Say!JUMP got yesterday at the Haruko finals. Okay, so it wasn’t five or six minutes like I wrote yesterday, but nine. I don’t know. When you just woke up and you’re still in bed nine minutes sometimes feel like only five. Sue me.
So anyway, in this clip Keito appears to be perfectly normal (and by normal of course I mean exceptionally cute). He is a little bit nervous, but that’s really nothing compared to yesterday’s clip, and I think he’s doing a good job. Plus, I love his shirt. And OMG, look at those cheeks when he’s smiling. This is killing me, people. KILLING me. There are still so many little details though that give away his nervousness. Like about 4 minutes into the video after he’s finished talking he glances back at Yabu as if he were seeking approval. Or later while Ryosuke and Chinen are talking you can see Keito in the background playing with his microphone. Or at the very end of the performance when the HS7 guys are kneeling down, he’s all “Am I doing this right? What are the others doing? OMG there’s way to much space between me and Ryutaro. Should I move closer? Nah, better not. Are we still on?” I’m probably totally over-analyzing this, but what the heck.
Oh and when you watch the video, keep an eye on Ryutaro too, especially during the performance. Remember how awkward and lost he uesed to be in the early days? Well look at him now. He’s become such a pro already, and he’s not even 13 yet. Same goes for Shintaro. Look at him 18 months ago and look at him now. Same goes for Hikaru. The list is endless, so I’m not really worried about Keito. No, I’m looking forward to what’s going to happen to him and how he’s gonna change in the next couple of months and years. Just don’t rush it, boy. Take your time.
