You have probably already seen this on Youtube, but if you haven’t here it is, a short clip of the adorable, wonderful, amazingly great little Keito speaking in a language one can actually understand.

Oh what can I say, I’m in love. The voice, the accent, the boy, the whole package. Just priceless. Please, Sir, I want some more. Thanks, Keito, for once again making my day. Now if only you would.. ah, never mind.

There’s one thing I found very interesting and remarkable in his 15-second monologue. He didn’t say “in England they call it switchback”, as one would somebody who’s spent time abroad and comes back home to tell people about it expect, he said “In England we call it switchback”. As if he were still one of them English people paying a quick visit to his distant relatives abroad. He may be back in Japan, but his heart is still back in a place that probably feels a lot like home to him. And I can’t blame him. England is a wonderful place, and it’s a real shame that they gambled away their once so powerful Empire. Just like the Romans did. Oh well, what are you gonna do.

In other news, Yamada Ryosuke will star in another drama SP called 古畑中学生 which is great news because this is his first leading role in a drama. Furuhata Chugakusei will depict the youth of police detective Furuhata Ninzaburo. Furuhata Ninzaburo was one of the most popular TV dramas in the history of Japanese television (running periodically from 1994 to 2006), mostly because of its somewhat quirky title character. It’ll be fun to see how quirky that character was when he was still young. And on a interesting side note, actress Kobayashi Satomi, who played Ryosuke’s mom in 1-Pound Gospel, apparently slept with Mitani Koki (the writer of the Furuhata Ninzaburo dramas) to get Ryosuke that role. Luckily she’s also married to him (to the writer, not to Ryosuke).

And finally, because of its pure hilarity, here’s a clip from last Sunday’s Show wa Hey!Say!. It’s always fun to see the musical geniuses and great singers of Johnny’s perform live.

God, what’s with this kid? Morimoto Ryutaro is definitely one of the genkiest and funnest 13-year-olds I’ve ever seen. Ever since his debut he’s been flourishing and enjoing himself so much, it’s a pure joy watching him.
