Felt depressed and thought I’d do a little bit of translating to cheer me up. Now I feel even worse. I wish Keito could go back to England permanently. And take all of JUMP with him…

“I think speaking English widened my horizon. I plunged into school in England without even knowing the alphabet when I was 9 years old. Before I even knew it I was able to engage in natural conversation, but I don’t really remember how that happened. At that time I thought “How on earth can I live like that?”. Probably because as a child I was desperately trying to grow accustomed to that new environment and new language. But by learning English I became able to engage in communication with people all around the world. While I was studying abroad I would visit France, Spain, Italy… lots of countries with four close friends during the weekends. England and the continent are connected by the Eurostar train that travels through an undersea tunnel, and on a train ride that feels like one in Japan from Tokyo to Osaka you can actually go from one country to another. Of all the countries I’ve visited so far the most impressive was Malta! The buildings in a country that is seldomly struck by earthquakes are amazing. Because of the remaining tradition and the looks of houses and streets that are hundreds of years old. I remember how beautiful the blue sea and honey colored houses were. Studying languages and seeing the world is really important. You get to encounter many things that you couldn’t experience by staying only in Japan.”

Found any major mistakes or don’t know where Malta is? Just let me know.
