First the good news: Libera will release another album in December. The bad news… well actually it isn’t really bad news, so I’ll just call it the not quite so good news, is that it will be released in Japan only. Oh come on boys, what about your fans back home in Europe? The bad thing about Japan-only releases is that some shops like YesAsia won’t ship them to Europe. Other shops like CDJapan and Amazon however will, so I guess I’ll have to get my copy from one of those.
Anyway, the new album will be called Inori~Anata ga iru kara [that's: Prayer~Because you are there] and can be ordered from YesAsia (for non Europeans) and from CDJapan and Amazon.co.jp
The video is a song from that new album, and the song is called You Were There. The song will also serve as theme song for the Japanese film Dare mo mamottekurenai ["Nobody to watch over me"] which will be released in Japan on January 24, 2009.
My goodness, Tom Cully! Somebody’s having a major growth spurt going on these days. In the last video I’ve seen, the DVD from the concert in Leiden in the Summer of 2007, he was still such a child. Now, at 14, he’s technically still a child. Biologically probably not so much anymore. Of course that also means that his soprano voice won’t last too much longer, which is both good and bad. It’s good because I actually like broken (or rather: breaking) voices a whole lot better than these child soprano voices. And it’s bad because the days when a lot of the action within Libera focuses on Tom will be over sooner rather than later. Sure, there are people still in Libera whose voices have already broken a long time ago, but they don’t receive a lot of attention anymore, which is a bit of a shame really.
Anyway, Tom‘s hormones are probably running wild at the moment, and that’s great because they’re slowly turning him from a cute little boy into an incredibly handsome young heartthrob.
