Yesterday NTV aired a 17-minute segment on the School kakumei auditions in their morning programme. It was basically a recap of the whole thing with a decent amount of backstage footage that we usually don’t get to see unless it ends up in a PV-making or so. I thought it was quite interesting and enjoyable to watch, so I’ve uploaded it for your entertainment.

LOL, during dance practice before the recording both Yoshino and Yuugo seemed totally lost. Like the reporter said, one wonders what they were thinking at the time. I bet they were pretty terrified.
I thought it was quite remarkable how after the recording Hikaru, Yamada and Chinen just walked off the stage. I know, they’re professionals, they’ve been doing it for years and it’s their day job. Record a Live Stage, back to the dressing room and on to wherever they have to go next. It would have been really nice though if they’d at least given the four auditionees a high five and a “well done” or something like that. But it’s probably naïve to think that all of Johnny’s is a great big family and everybody is friends with everybody. I bet a lot of the people who seem to get along so well on TV don’t really give a rats ass about each other once the cameras stop rolling. Oh well.
So anyway, Yuugo will be the new regular on School kakumei. Congtrats again on that. As for the others, we’ll certainly see them around. Always keep in mind the Ya-Ya-yah auditions back in 2004. Back then the winner was one Suzuki Yuta. He got a little MC-ing job in Summary 2004, and then we never saw him again. Ryutaro and Yamada “lost” that audition, and look where they are now.
