As I’m just being told, at today’s Johnny’s Jr. concert a new temporary group to support the World Volleyball Grand Prix (July 31 – August 23) was announced. Their name is NYC Boys.

N = Nakayama Yuma
Y = Yamada Ryosuke
C = Chinen Yuri
Boys = B.I.Shadow

Apparently the song title will be NYC (which is, like, the perfect title to support an event that will be held in TOKYO >.>). Some people say that NYC is the first part of the Music Station performance we saw on Friday, but I haven’t been able to confirm that beyond a reasonable doubt as of yet.

Also, the song will be the 2nd A-side of YwBIS‘ upcoming CD single. An anonymous reader is providing the following information as I’m typing this:

I’ve been thinking about this for a couple of minutes now, and my brilliant brain has come to the conclusion that this isn’t really that big a deal. It’s basically YwBIS teaming up with Yamada and Chinen to do a volleyball support song. It will still be a YwBIS CD, with a little B-side support from Yamada and Chinen to boost sales. We all know Johnny likes to have fun with letters and names, so he came up with NYC Boys. I mean come on, time is very precious on TV. If they were called Yuma with B.I.Shadow featuring Hey!Say!JUMP’s Yamada Ryosuke and Chinen Yuri the volleyball game would be over before the Fuji TV announcer has finished saying the name. And it’s just a temporary thing for the Volleyball Grand Prix.

Think Kitty GYM. Just a couple of guys getting together for one song and a couple of TV appearances. Didn’t hurt Yamapi, or NEWS, or anybody who was involved in this, so…
