As I’ve mentioned countless times in the last couple of weeks I’m currently tagging all my previous blog entries because there are currently no tags in my main blog, and that makes things really difficult to find. Anyway, as I went along I decided to create a tag for my favourite posts, and I noticed that almost all my rants are favourite posts of mine. It seems like rants bring out the best in me.
I also noticed that most of my rants have one thing in common, and that is: they’re about stupid people. Because stupidity drives me insane. I’m in the lucky position that some 95-98% of the population have a lower IQ than me, and while I should just enjoy that feeling and stand above things and ignore stupid people saying stupid things, there is one very important reason why I simply cannot do that. And that reason is: stupid people are dragging us all down. Stupid people make the lives of not-so-stupid-people miserable because they’re the majority and they call the shots.
So, I’m part of a minority, and since euthanasia for stupid people probably isn’t a viable concept the only thing I can do is to speak out against stupidity and try to share knowledge and wisdom, hoping that it will make stupid people feel stupid, and that some of it will even make some stupid people less stupid.
I have to rant because it keeps me sane in an insane world.
One of my heroes is Bill Maher, because he’s not stupid and he too loves to rant about stupid people. This clip is about stupid Americans. No offense to any Americans reading this, you’re probably no more or less stupid than anybody else. So this clip isn’t really about stupid Americans, it’s about stupid people in general, from an American perspective.
I could watch Bill Maher rant all day long. For me this is the best kind of entertainment there is. It’s hilarious. And at the same time so sad.
