Kamichan health bulletin: this is the first day this week that I’m feeling better than the day before. Still not feeling good, but better than worse. I’m still feeling so weak that a 12-year-old girl could beat me up. The road to recovery is a long one, but I guess I’m on my way.
Moving on.
My contest. Oh well. First of all, a great big thank you to everyone who took part and told me about their favourite blog posts of mine. There were about 40 contest entries, and I loved reading every single one of them. There were entries from people I know very well, and there were entries from people I don’t know at all. There were also entries from people I never would have expected. Some people picked very obvious candidates for favourite post, others picked posts I never would have thought of as anyone’s favourite.
I wish I could give away 40 prizes, because you all deserve a prize, but obviously I can’t. I had to pick only three, which was very difficult, and I ended up picking three that made me go “aww” and gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Instead of my head I let my heart and my gut decide, and I’m happy to announce that my three winners are: hikarinoniji, babystarfir3, and an anonymous user. All winners have already been notified via email or LJ private message.
The three posts that were picked by the winners were My Story – Part 12 – Summary, Lord Yabu, and Sticks and Stones. There were no right or wrong answers, and it wasn’t just about the posts they picked but more about their reasons for doing so. However, these reasons shall remain secret.^^
Thanks again to everyone who entered the contest, and to all of my readers for all your continuing support. <3
In other news, the greatest star in the universe, Takizawa Hideaki, was on Music Station tonight, and I missed it because somebody failed to tell me that tonight’s show was a 3-hour special that started an hour early. Well thank you very much! I’m looking at you, boyfriend-who-pretends-to-be-sleeping. D: Then again I can’t really be mad at him, because if it weren’t for him I probably would have missed a most hilarious new TV series by the name of Glee. When the producers came up with the idea surely they must have thought “Let’s make something that Kamichan will really really enjoy“. The result is funnier than Fame, less cheesy than High School Musical, and gayer than me.
Glee is about a High School teacher and his Glee Club, which is all about singing and dancing. Here’s one of my favourite bits from episode 4 which aired earlier this week.
[Video was deleted. Damn content filters. I'll try uploading ot somewhere else. Okay, it seems that some people are allowed to upload clips from Glee to streaming sites and others are not. I'm one of the others, so I can only offer this as a download. Sorry 'bout that, and well done FOX for shooting yourself in the foot.]
Hilarious. And doing quite nicely in the ratings too, which is good because I’d hate to see this show cancelled any time soon. Glee airs Wednesdays at 9pm on FOX in the United States. It can also be seen in Canada, Autralia, and the Philippines (check your local listings), and it’s coming soon to Latin America, Ireland, New Zealand, and the UK, so if you liked the clip above check out the series, it’s really nice.
I’m off to watch more TV now…
