First of all, thank you all very much for your encouraging comments concerning my book and all the good wishes. Some people asked what the book is gonna be about. That’s a very good question, and I have no answer for you. At least not yet. Even though I already started writing it I still have to figure out a lot of things myself. That’s a very delicate process, and I don’t want to give anything away too early. But I’ll keep you updated in the next couple of weeks and months.
In other news, the other day I wrote that the world premiere of Shintaro‘s movie Snow Prince took place over the weeken in Antwerp, Belgium. That’s because I assumed that newspapers and online news sources report news right after it happens and not, like, four days later. So when I read the news on Monday I thought that the premiere had happened over the weekend. That, however, would have made it a bit tricky for Shintaro to attend the Shonen Club recording on Monday, as yabu_takeshi was kind enough to point out. Well, it turns out that the movie premiere was last Thursday already, so there was time enough for Shintaro to get back to Japan for Shonen Club on Monday.
And speaking of the whole Belgium thing, little Shintaro went off my personal adorability chart in this video clip of his inauguration as Friendship Ambassador. Even though he is one of the most professional 12-year-old performers I have ever seen, Mr Ambassador manages to forget his lines…

Shintaro: “What was it again? What kind of ambassador?”
Mr Kundo: “Friendship Ambassador.”
Shintaro: “Ah, right. Being elected Friendship Ambassador makes me very happy.”

This is so epic, you couldn’t make this shit up. ♥
