1985 was a good year. I fell in love and got my heart broken. It didn’t feel particularly good at the time, but in hindsight I guess it’s one of the things you just have to go through but never would if you had a choice. But these things make you grow. Not that I felt a particular need to grow at the time, but what did I know? I was just a kid. A kid that discovered the wonderful power of alcohol when it comes to dealing with grief and misery. So there you go.
1985 was also a good year because in Japan it saw the debut of Shonentai. And 2009 is a good year because the YY JUMPing Johnny’s Timeslip Collaboration reminds us of the fashion and hair crimes of the 1980s. They were dreadful times, kids, you have no idea.

The rest of today’s YY JUMPing was actually quite enjoyable as well. They went on a kayaking tour through Tokyo. Yes, Tokyo does have a number of rivers and channels, and one can take a sightseeing tour of a different kind if one is so inclined. There wasn’t anything particularly funny or exciting, but for some reason I enjoyed watching it more than the previous YY episodes.
In other news, I’ve finally finished re-uploading some +200GB worth of Ya-Ya-yah episodes. There were quite a number of episodes that had been uploaded years ago and the links were still working when I checked them, but the vast majority of links had expired or had been deleted. But they should all work now, so if you need to complete your collection of Ya-Ya-yah episodes now is the time to do it because nobody knows how long these links will remain active.
And finally, Takaki is dating, big deal. Get over it. Idols have a private life too, and the public shouldn’t be interested in it. If you’re interested in love affairs get your own.
