Sometimes you only realize how much you love something or someone when you are suddenly deprived of it or them for an extended period of time. That goes for Hey!Say!JUMP, and even more so for one particular member, one of my all time favourite Johnny’s boys ever, the amazingly great and amazingly tall Nakajima Yuto. There was a time when Johnny loved him too, so much that he’d pimp the hell out of that boy, put him on TV shows and in dramas and pretty much everywhere you looked. I don’t know what happened to change that. Maybe it was just that somebody came along who pulled in more fans and more money, or maybe it’s just that he became too tall too fast. I may be wrong, but I have a feeling that Johnny doesn’t like people too much who are very tall. Johnny never loved Taiyo after he’d grown more than 170cm tall. I don’t think he loved Jimmy Mackey very much either. And I do have to admit that tall guys tend to look awkward when they’re dancing, especially if everybody else around them is of a more average body size.
Be it as it may, Yuto hasn’t been on TV a lot in recent months, and I think he’s missing it just as much as I am missing him. I can see it in the smile on his face when he does get a little bit of TV exposure, and I can see it in my own smile too when he’s performing on Shonen Club and he seems so happy and alive.

Yuto is so beautiful. No really. He’s not cute anymore. He used to be very cute when he was younger. I don’t think he’s cute at all anymore. But to me he is very very beautiful. ♥
Beautiful performance of a beautiful song too. My cheeks are hurting from all the smiling. It so funny to see the camera pan across the stage, and there’s a cute kid, and next to him there’s a giant kid twice his size and suddenly you realize that the giant is actually Otsuka. And next to him there’s Yuto who’s yet another 2ft taller. There were a lot of cute kids in the front row, and looking at their site I guess quite a number of them are members of Snow Prince Gasshoudan. I still don’t know any of their names except Otsuka and Chino. Not only is Chino a hell of a cool name to have, I think he himself is pretty badass cool as well. I fell in love with him when the camera went past him at 1:12 and he didn’t smile or anything but did just those funny arm movements. That wasn’t cute. It was cool. But still, Yuto is the coolest of them all.
In other news, Hey!Say!7 will be in a new CM for Ghana Milk Chocolate. The CM will start airing next Monday. Yay!
So let’s see, Yuto, Takaki and Daiki in this month’s Shonen Clubs, new HS7 CM, Yamada, Daiki and Chinen in that Tokyo Dome City Illumination thing yesterday, Yabu playing the lead in a musical next month… looks like Johnny is triying everything he can to keep the public eye on Hey!Say!JUMP. Well, almost everything. I got two words for you, Mr. Johnny-san: NEW CD!!! Sweet Jesus, it can’t be that difficult, can it? >_>
