Today’s YY JUMPing Live Stage was School Kakumei. >_> Can being a Hey!Say!JUMP fan get any more boring? I guess not. Anyway, I’m not gonna post the video because I’m sick and tired of posting boring stuff. And not posting the video is actually very easy for me because I don’t even have it, so yeah. But even if I had it I wouldn’t post it. No more boring posts. Pointless, yes. But not boring.
In other, more exhilarating news, one of the best TV comedies of 2008 and without a doubt one of my all time favourites is back, yay. It’s called Beautiful People. How could I not love this show? It has gay teenagers, singing, dancing, 80s and 90s music and pop cultural references in it. It’s exactly the type of thing I’ve always wanted to write. It’s too late for that, somebody beat me to it, but that’s totally fine with me as long as I can at least watch it because it’s great.
In episode 1 of the 2nd series Simon has to do a genealogy project for school, and it turns out that there are some inconsistencies about his parents’ wedding…
Hilarious.
Great to see Layton Williams as the Artful Dodger there. I actually think he could have been a great Dodger on the West End stage if he hadn’t spent half his life playing Billy Elliot on the West End stage. Oh well, you can’t have it all I guess.
And I really hope Simon won’t have that greasy looking hair for the whole series. He looked His hair looked a lot better in the first series. But that’s just about all I have to complain about. It was a great 1st episode, just as great as every single episode of the first series, and I’m really looking forward to the rest of the series which currently airs Fridays on BBC2 (check your local listings for the exact time). Next week’s episode will be all about Simon’s involvement in the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest, which in itself already has me rolling on the floor ready to get laughing.
Series 1 of Beautiful People is available on DVD from Amazon.co.uk. The current price is only £5.98 which must be a huge mistake or a great bargain. Too bad I already have a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. And no, I’m not gonna say what it is. He reads this blog you know.
