First it was an idea, then it was a rumour, not it’s official: Yamada Ryosuke will return as freaky-eyed boy detective Tanaka Ainosuke for a full series of Hidarime Tantei EYE, Saturdays at 9pm on NTV starting in January 2010. It’s not Yamada’s first TV series, obviously, and it isn’t the first time he plays a boy detective. However, it’s the first time he’s playing the lead in a TV drama series, so yay, good for him. And possibly good for Hey!Say!JUMP as a whole because it’s a series, and somebody will have to do a theme song to go along with it. Like the Special the series will co-star Kanjani8’s Yokoyama Yu, but Kanjani8 are releasing three singles at the end of December, so I can’t really see them releasing another single in January. That leaves JUMP as the most likely choice for the song.

Well, possibly awesome. Just don’t make that song Memories. It’s OLD. If they want me to buy a new single that new single better be a new song.
Okay, so let’s see… the first Saturday in January is the 2nd. That’s when the series will start unless they wait for people to get over their New Year’s hangovers in which case it’ll start on the 9th. If they release a single that will most likely be at least a wek or two into the drame, so that’s the 13th or 20th. Or the 27th. And that means we should have an official announcement before Christmas. Oh god, I cannot wait for that.
But I have to, it seems. I’ma spend the waiting time eating chocolate. Lots of chocolate.
