Wanna know what’s going on? Yeah well, don’t ask me for I don’t know. Here’s what happened:
Some time last week YesAsia added the 2010~2011 Johnny’s Calendars to their catalogue, and people started preordering them, everything was fine. Then after a couple of days four of the five calendars somehow disappeared. Well, they didn’t exactly disappear, the product pages were still there but they said “This product is not available”. No forther information was goven. The only calendar still available from YesAsia was the KAT-TUN one.
Next thing I knew was that CDJapan added the KAT-TUN calendar to their catalogue. Only the KAT-TUN one but not the others. At that point I started having panicking thoughts along the lines of “OMG, Johnny has canceled all the other calendars and next year there will only be a KAT-TUN calendar, OMG!!! D:” But then a day or two later CDJapan added the other four calendars to their catalogue as well, so I went to YesAsia to check on the calendars there, and guess what: they’re all available again. Every single one of them.
I have no idea what happened during the couple of days when they were not available. All I know is they are available now from both YesAsia and CDJapan. You can find all the links here.
There still isn’t much information about the details available, but, and I think it’s rather interesting, CDJapan lists the approximate weight of each calendar, and they’re all quite different.
- Kanjani8: 1100g
- KAT-TUN: 1000g
- NEWS: 1000g
- Johnny’s Jr: 800g
- Hey!Say!JUMP: 700g
Hey!Say!JUMP’s 700g sounds rather lightweight compared with Kanjani8’s whopping 1.1kilos, but then again it’s 200g more JUMP than this year’s calendar, whereas the next K8 calendar is actually down 300g from this year.
Oh don’t mind me, I’m obsessed with numbers.
In other news, oxfordtimes.co.uk today has a very nice review (beware: may contain a spoiler or two) of Shintaro’s movie Snow Prince ~ Kinjirareta koi no melody, calling it “one of the most beautiful films of the year” and “the kind of family entertainment that Hollywood has forgotten how to make“. I think that’s good, no?
