Okay, so the Snow Prince preorder sales figures are out and they’re… I don’t know, what’s the word again? Dreadful? I can’t even give you the exact number because Oricon lists the figures in the daily charts only for the top 3. Snow Prince Gasshoudan come in at #4 with less than 8081 preorders.
What’sですよ! The last time that the debut single of a Johnny’s unit didn’t make it to #1 was in 2002. Their name was Ya-Ya-yah.
So yeah, that has to be a bit of a disappointment. But I guess the fanbase for the youngest of the young is indeed rather small. And only die hard Junior fans would preorder the single anyway. The general public will need some more TV coverage to get interested. And maybe, if the movie becomes a real blockbuster, sales will turn out quite decent after all, but for now that’s not the case. Oh well.
It’s sad, really, because it’s actually such a lovely song. The boys performed it on Utaban last night, and here it is…

Seriously, if you didn’t go “Aww!!!” at least half a dozen times during this clip then you don’t have a heart. I love how they keep running into each other and have absolutely no idea what they’re doing.
And of course it’s always hilarious when a Johnny’s Senior asks his kouhais about their favourite senpais and they always mention pretty much everybody except the person asking, who in this case was Nakai.
Shintaro: My respected senpai is Takizawa Hideaki-kun.
Nakai: … Right. Next.
Kishimoto: My respected senpai is Yamashita-kun from NEWS.
Nakai: Right. Next.
Nakamura: My respected senpai is Tegoshi-kun.
Nakai: Right. Next.
[...]
Okada: My respected senpai is Tsukada-kun.
Nakai: Huh? Who the hell is Tsukada?
LOL, so adorable. I mean Nakai. But the kids too.
Now if only I could find the making of the PV somewhere…
