This blog post may contain random tidbits of news. If you’re easily upset by new things then stop reading and click here.
First off, our own Yaotome Hikaru and Arioka Daiki (as well as Kis-My-Ft2‘s Fujigaya, Kitayama and Tamamori) will appear on a TV Asahi program called 食の賢人!初春バトル. The first part reads shoku no kenjin and means wise man (or men) of food. I’m not sure how you read the second part. It’s either shoshun battle or hatsuharu battle. I’m no expert Japanologist, but Rikaichan tells me that it can either mean “beginning of spring” or “New Year”, and seeing that the program airs on January 3rd when spring is still a lifetime away (if you’re a mealworm) I think I’m gonna go with New Year battle instead of beginning-of-spring battle because it just makes more sense. So the fulll name of the show translates to Wise Men of Food! New Year Battle. I know this is probably not gonna happen, but wouldn’t it be awesome if instead of just tasting different foods and going “UMAI!!!” all the time they’d just have a great big food fight and threw raw fish and rice balls at each other? No?
In other news, remember that Tensai wo tsukuru! Galileo nouken program that Nakaken and Nakamaru appeard on recently? Yeah, the next Johnny’s guests will be Fujigaya and B.I.Shadow‘s Kikuchi Fuma. The show will be recorded this coming Saturday and it will air… at some later date.
And finally, first week sales figures for Snow Prince will be out tomorrow, but they won’t be good, considering the positions of the song in the daily charts in the last couple of days:
- Day 0: #4
- Day 1: #5
- Day 2: #6
- Day 3: #8
- Day 4: #8
- Day 5: #3
- Day 6: #8
Interesting rise to #3 on Day 5 which was Sunday. That’s because on Sunday Shintaro attended a special handshaking (and CD selling) event. According to Oricon the total sales for Snow Prince were 3,089 on that day, and I guess maybe as many as half of them were sold at that handshaking event. Well done, Shin-chan, for possibly pushing the first week sales above the 20k mark with your very own hands.
And speaking of Shintaro: I dreamed of Shintaro last night. He kept saying to me “Come on, we have to go faster!” but I kept dragging my feet so we ended up being late for school. Sorry, Shin-chan! ^^;;
