Okay, I guess the prize for weirdest news of the day is that Hey!Say!JUMP will appear on Music Station Super Live on Christmas Day. What are they gonna perform, two-year-old songs? This is even weirder than having NYC boys on Kohaku. It would only make sense if they had a new song, and even then it wouldn’t make any sense to perform it on TV weeks before it’s released. Then again there’s a total of nine Johnny’s groups on MSSL (pretty much all of them except NYwBIS and T&T) and most of them haven’t released a lot of stuff recently, so maybe that’s just the deal. You know, “We have three hours of airtime to fill, let’s just call Johnny’s and have them send us everything they got“. But anyway, yay for JUMP finally appearing on TV together after what seemed an eternity. This is a great Christmas present, and I hope there will be lots more in the new year…
In other news, it’s Snow Prince Weekend yo~! Snow Prince Gasshoudan were on Music Station today. I’ll post a video if and when I can find one. They were also supposed to be on Nakai Masahiro no kinyoubi sma-tachi e, but for some reason that one got cancelled. D: It was listed on Johnny’s Calendar until yesterday, today it wasn’t anymore, and the boys were not on the show. Instead what they did on the show was to tell a synapsis of the original Dog of Flanders story with some 15 minutes of footage from what looked like a European version of the movie (dubbed in Japanese), and to make things completely random at one point they added Libera’s song You Were There as a soundtrack, which was originally the theme song for of Shida Mirai’s movie Daremo mamotte kurenai. Go figure.
Anyway, today there was also a Bokura no ongaku Snow Prince SP. 30 minutes with scenes from the movie and Shintaro chatting with Takki, and SPG performing Snow Prince, and Takki performing Ai kakumei. Friday night television doesn’t get any better than that. Again, I’ll post a video if I can find one.
For Shintaro the day started pretty early today with an appearance on some morning program. Nothing special, except especially cute.
