In other news, I know a bunch of guys who are on a bit of a roller coaster ride at the moment, and their name is Snow Prince Gasshoudan. Their single dropped to #27 on the daily sales charts last week, then they appeared on Music Station on Friday and they went up to #12 on Saturday, and then the movie opened in Japan on Saturday and the single went up to #2 on Sunday which is their highest position in the daily sales charts yet, yay! However, on Monday it dropped to #10 again. =[
And speaking of Snow Prince the movie, as I said it opened in Japan this weekend and it came in at #10 in the box office. That’s not all that great, but to be fair it did have some serious competition with One Piece Film: Strong World (¥1.038 billion earnings, more than Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince earlier this year), Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Double & Decade: Movie War 2010, Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legend The Movie, and Space Battleship Yamato Rebirth Edition all opening this weekend. So maybe Japan isn’t quite ready for Christmas family entertainment yet.
And finally, here’s the Snow Prince Gasshoudan segment from Sunday’s Shonen Club. First Shintaro is having a quick chat with Koyama and Nakamaru, then there’s a VTR with Shintaro and four other SPG members getting taught sign language. There is one hilarious little scene where the teacher asks the boys to mime Japanese people eating, and they do that, and then she asks them to mime French people eating, and… LMAO, it looked so funny, and I don’t know, I think I saw a look of contempt on Shintaro’s face. XD
