Well, congratulations to Arashi for having four of the five best selling singles in Japan this year, which is quite an awesome achievement. Go Arashi!
Also congratulations to Nakayama Yuma w/ B.I.Shadow who made it to #13 in the yearly charts. For comparison: Hey!Say!JUMP‘s debut single Ultra Music Power was #14 in 2007, their last single Mayonaka no Shadow Boy was #21 in 2008. So NYwBIS did actually very nicely indeed, and they still do. The single is still selling ~450 copies every week, which is quite amazing for a single that was released five months ago. If it continues selling at this rate it will pass the 1-million-mark in October 2040. Go NYwBIS!!!
I don’t know, I liked NYwBIS, and I think it’s kinda sad how Johnny obviously dropped them even though they did a good (and successful) job. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. To honour and celebrate Nakayama Yuma and B.I.Shadow I’ve upoloaded their medley from last week’s Shonen Club. Quality isn’t great, but what are you gonna do.

One of the best singers in all of Johnny’s, no doubt.
In other news, Snow Prince came in at #10 in their 2nd week in the weekly sales charts with 8,607 copies sold. Again more than half of these were sold on Sunday when Shintaro attended an event to promote the movie. Now here’s an idea: they should just place Shintaro outside Shibuya Station, next to Hachiko, and have him sell the CD personally to whoever passes by. They’d have a #1 hit in no time. Anyway, the total for Snow Prince is now 28,791 copies sold. Go Snow Prince Gasshoudan!
And finally, will Hey!Say!JUMP‘s new song Romeo & Juliet be released as a single? I don’t know. All I know is that HSJ will be on Music Station Super Live on Christmas Day, and now that they’ve already performed R&J on Shonen Club it would be kinda stupid not to perform it on MSSL as well and stick with the old crap instead. Just sayin’.
Christmas is only nine days away, and suddenly being a JUMP fan is very exciting again.
And the winter concert tour starts in Osaka this Saturday. Who knows, maybe they have some sort of big announcement to make.
