Hallelujah, I’m back online with a brand new old computer. It’s a long story, don’t ask. I spent all day today (well, almost) getting my computer problems fixed. I always get them fixed somehow, but usually not without losing huge amounts of data. But this time things went a lot more smoothly. Not only did I keep all my files and settings and emails and bookmarks, but I also managed to restore some 40GB of data that I thought I had lost earlier this year. Lots of old photos and videos and all my music and everything, so yeah, that’s good and I’m very happy today.
Hallelujah, it’s winter. It didn’t snow today, but it snowed yesterday and it’s really really cold at the moment so all yesterday’s snow was still there today and it looks so pretty. So in the afternoon I went out for a lovely walk in a winter wonderland. I went down to the river where I met these guys:
To be honest, I think they were a bit annoyed that I only came to take their picture and didn’t bring any food. ^^;;
Hallelujah, a little while ago one of my dear readers introduced me to a young Australian by the name of Jordan Jansen, and I’m gonna post a video of him because the song fits my mood today and he’s got a pretty nice voice. Oh, and Jordan did a homestay in Japan earlier this year (he talks about it here), so there’s your connection to Japan right there, and your connection to Johnny’s because it’s impossible to go to Japan and not be exposed to Johnny’s in any way, shape or form. Halleluja.
In other news, Hey!Say!JUMP will perform a Christmas Medley on Music Station Super Live next week. That’s great because it’s Christmas and I like Christmas medleys. But it’s also kinda bleh because I would have loved to hear their new song Romeo & Juliet. But hey, they performed it at their concert today, so at least that means it’s real. Hallelujah.
And finally, about Snow Prince the movie: I’ve read a couple of reviews in online media and I’ve heard from a couple of regular people who went to see the film, and so far everyone seemed to like it. The other day, however, Google alerted me of a Snow Prince review over at Japan Times Online, and that one wasn’t really very good. In fact, it makde it sound like Snow Prince was pretty much the worst movie ever made since Plan 9 from Outer Space or something. Now the thing with Japan Times is that I used to read it on a regular basis back in the day when I was beginning to get interested in Johnny’s and subsequently in Japan. But after a while it really got on my nerves that the people at Japan Times hardly ever said anything positive about the land they chose to live in. Everything was shallow, cheap and stupid, and I didn’t really want to hear about that, so I stopped reading it, and now it doesn’t really come as a surprise to me that their movie critic doesn’t like Snow Prince. To each their own, I say.
