Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Christmas medley on Music Station Super Live today was a lot jumpier and less christmassy than I expected, because NYC, Ultra Music Power and Dreams come true aren’t exactly Christmas songs. But I’m not complaining. It was great to see them all together performing their old stuff, and the whole thing did indeed feel a bit like a comeback performance to remind people of what they’ve been missing and to prepare them for new greatness to come. And that’s perfectly fine with me.
Watching this makes me smile so much my face hurts. And can I just say that those were the sexiest HSJ costumes I have ever seen. And OMG, little Ryutaro is not so little anymore, which is totally awesome to see.
I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned it before, but I love Hey!Say!JUMP!
And I sure hope they will have a great and very productive 2010.
In other news, after audience ratings for Kohaku had been declining in recent years it looks like this year the producers are aiming for a 120% audience share on New Year’s Eve because even people who are not interested in Arashi, EXILE, or Perfume might still tune in for… Susan Boyle. That’s right, Susan Boyle will make a special appearance on Kohaku this year, which I think is totally hilarious. In fact, I think I might be looking forward to see her on Kohaku more than I’m looking forward to NYC boys. Go figure.
