I’ve had another celebrity infested dream last night, but this time without any Johnny’s boys. It was still kinda Japan related though. I was a journalist in London and I got to interview two celebrities, one beautiful young woman by the name of Laura Lennon and her lovely mother Yoko Ono. Yeah, I’m not kidding. I know I know, John and Yoko didn’t have a daughter. But in my dream they did, so sue me. Anyway, as always I don’t remember a lot of details, but I do remember that they were both very nice and very charming ladies, and the interview went very well.
Oh well, moving on.
People all over the place keep calling Hey!Say!JUMP’s new song Hitomi no scream instead of Hitomi no screen, and I think that might to a certain extent be my fault because I titled one of my recent blog posts Hitomi no scream. The reason I did that was because in the fanaudio of Hitomi no screen fans were screaming so much. It was just a pun, okay? A joke. Just the title of a blog post, not the title of the song. So please, people, forget about the scream, it’s screen. Jeez.
In other news, remember that Japanese boy talent agency, the one that used to be so uptight and so protective about their idols that they wouldn’t even post pictures of them on their own website? What was the name of that agency again? Oh right, it’s Johnny’s Jimusho. Well guess what, it looks like just in time for the end of the decade they have finally made it to the 21st century.
They are now beginning to offer streaming videos on Johnny’s Net. Lol, how awesome is that? Well, the answer is it’s not really that awesome because the videos will be available only for Johnny’s Family Club members, i.e. for people who live in Japan. BUT since they’re currently only in the testing stage of this new service it’s still open to the public. Before I send you over there here’s a word of caution: on the website is says explicitly not to copy the videos and upload them elsewhere because otherwise that service might be canceled before it gets past the testing, so don’t do it, okay? Okay. Now go over to Johnny’s Net and click on the button in the right sidebar, the one that says 新サービス紹介. A new window will pop up with three links in it that contain a dance lesson for the Romeo & Juliet dance moves, done by Tanaka Juri, Jesse Luis and Hagiya Keigo. It’s really cute to watch. Too bad that it’s Romeo & Juliet though and not Hitomi no screen, because in that case I could have titled this blog post Hitomi no stream, just to create more confusion. Ha.
Anyway, that’s not the only thing. According to Daily Sports Online for the first time in recorded history the performances of Johnny’s artists at this year’s Kohaku Utagassen will be available via online streaming from NHK On Demand for 10 days after the event. Again, that’s only really good news if you live in Japan because the service is not available abroad, but still. The Jimusho is slowly opening up to new ideas, and one day that may lead them to the realization that there’s tons of money to be made not only at home but all around the world. So yeah. I’ll be waiting for that to happen.
And finally, tomorrow I will have to travel a couple of hundred miles and back to attend a funeral, so I won’t be online until late at night or the next morning. Until then. Jaa~
