Oh what can I say. Mayonaka no Shadow Boy has been my favourite Hey!Say!JUMP single ever since it was released four score and seven years ago. However, Hitomi no Screen is a strong contender, and if the PV is going to be anywhere near as cool as the MnSB PV then I might have myself a new favourite. Yes, I know, Yamada gets most of the attention whereas some get almost none at all, but I’m sick and tired of complaining about that. It’s the theme song for his drama, so the abundance of him in the song is a given. Get over it. It’s still a great song, and to me it sounds like a genuine Hey!Say!JUMP song. That’s all that matters to me right now.

First off: awesome costumes. Great colours, no feathers, no tinfoil hats. Somebody is growing up, and it’s a great thing to see.

Chinen‘s hair = epic fail.

Funny thing that there was no talk segment. HSJ were the first to perform, right after the introduction. They briefly mentioned Hidarime Tantei EYE, but the whole tell us about your drama – oh, I play a boy detective who got an eye transplant and can see funny things – oh that’s why you do the thing with the finger and the eye in your dance conversation didn’t happen. After their performance the guys got to sit behind the hosts who kept addressing Yamada at various points throughout the show, but if this appearance was meant to pimp Hidarime then it was a bit of a fail. I’m sure Mr Johny-san had something different in mind when he placed them on Music Station tonight, but I can also understand that TV Asahi isn’t particularly keen on pimping a NTV drama too much. So there.

Anyway, I don’t care about the whole Hidarime pimping too much either. I mean, I’m gonna watch it and I’m looking forward to seeing Yamachan get punched in the face every five minutes, but I watched Music Station tonight because I wanted to see juunin perform their new single, so I’m completely satisfied. It felt great to see all ten of them sing and dance together. Throuout the performance I kept looking for little Ryutaro, but little Ryutaro doesn’t exist anymore. He’s big Ryutaro now, and what a heartthrob he’s become. I wish he could stay like that forever.

In other news, the Limited Edition of Hitomi no Screen keeps getting sold out at CD Japan and they keep restocking it. It first sold out last night right before I went to bed. When I got up this morning they had restocked and there were 8 copies left. An hour later that number had gone down to 2. A little later I checked again and it said 18 copies left. Then I checked again just now and it’s sold out again. I have no idea how many LEs they had to begin with, but it’s great to see how it keeps selling. :D
