Back in December I posted a Jordan Jansen video. There were a couple that I liked that I had to choose from, and I ended up posting the one that was the most christmassy because, you know, I was in a Christmas mood. But it wasn’t my favourite of his videos. My favourite one was actually What About Me?, and that’s why I’m posting it today because I’m in a whiny mood and this is a whiny song.
No really, it is. I mean, look at the chorus:
What about me, it isn’t fair
I’ve had enough now i want my share
Can’t you see i wanna live
But you just take more than you give
Well, boohoo. But you’re right, kid. Life isn’t fair, and most people don’t get what they deserve, neither the good ones nor the bad ones. That seems to be a fact of life, even though it shouldn’t be, and I really like the somewhat immature, un-adult approach here. You know, grownups usually tend to have a “deal with it” attitude towards it. I don’t like it. I say: if something or somebody pisses you off shout it out loud. From the rooftops if you have to. Or in this day and age: on YouTube. I like whiny little boys, especially if they have a) a point, and b) a good voice. So there.
Love it! ♥
