Hello, children!
In the last two days I’ve received hundreds and hundreds of emails from worried readers. They were very many, but they were all basically the same:
Kamichan, why don’t you update your blog?
or
Kamichan, is something wrong? You seem to be so quiet.
and, most predominantly:
Kamichan, don’t you love us anymore?
Why what a silly question! Of course I still love you all. Every single one of you, even the people I hate because I love to hate. The reason why my blogging has been kinda slow this week is very simple and twofold:
- There isn’t too much to blog about. It’s the quiet before the storm (the J-Storm, haha) that will break lose when Hitomi no Screen is released. It’s in less than two weeks, yay!
- I have a new coputer, yay!
Computers are like kids and you get a computer for very much the same reasons you get kids: so they will do what you want them to do and care for you when you’re old. If you don’t want to end up a grumpy old man (or woman) you either need a child or a computer. And since despite all my enthusiastic attempts I still couldn’t get my boyfriend pregnant I’m stuck with computers for the time being.
If you’re a frequent reader of this blog you may remember that I’ve been having computer problems fairly regularly in the last couple of years. And now I’ve had enough. I have so many better things to do with my time than trying to fix my computer every time he (yes, it’s a he) goes through teething troubles, so I decided to get a new one.
The thing is, computers are like kids. You have to feed them and teach them how to walk and talk and take out the trash and all that. And as soon as you’re done your wife suddenly gets pregnant again and even though you already taught your first kid how to walk and talk and take out the trash you have to do it all over again with the 2nd child. So annoying!
What I’m saying is that I’m currently in the process of teaching my new computer how to walk and talk and take out the trash, I have to re-install all my software and all the plug-ins, and I have to set up my email program and my browser settings, and of course I have to transfer all my data from my old computer to the new one. And all that takes a lot of time. Luckily, I have the time at the moment because there is nothing going on in Hey!Say!JUMP world. Like I said, it’s the quiet before the storm.
So yeah, sorry if this if boring for you, but it can’t be helped. I have to set up the new computer so that hopefully soon I’ll be able to concentrate on more important things again: my blog, and my book.
Bear with me.
